Vietnam Mathematical Tournament
About the competition
VMT is for exceptionally talented pupils from grade 8 to grade 12 only. Competition is administered by teachers at schools across the country.
Structure
Competition at the senior category consists of six problems. Each problem is worth seven points for a maximum total score of 42 points. The competition is held over two consecutive days; each day the contestants have three hours to solve three problems.

School teachers with authorized schools can help to host the competition in the neighbourhood. You may do so by logging in to your account and register in your profile page.
More details
Teachers/organizers of each school venue receive a package of booklets and exam papers from the VNMT. Every contestant uses the same set of papers and booklets.
- Each contestant submits a registration online. The exam is administered offline.
- Each venue has at least ten contestants and a teacher or a responsible adult in charge for the proctoring.
- Each proctor receives a pack of exam papers and answer form booklet from VNMT, via post, about three days before exam date.
- The proctor sends a package of all the answer form booklets of contestants from the school back to VNMT after he has scanned and photocopied all the booklets.
- Answer forms of each contestants from all the schools are scanned and upload to the panel for marking.
- Each school venue has a distinct list of contestants.
- The answer form booklet of each contestant from the same school is assigned to the right contestant with registered account on the web so that the contestant can see the scanned pdf and how the coordination process is going on.
